Chikusho . . . (pardon my language)
Here I was, moderately cheerful that my writing wasn't vulnerable to a
hard drive crash (because the vast majority of it wasn't on my hard drive)
and guess what happens?
The Zip disk containing the vast bulk of my work (including *all* of my
current works-in-progress) disappeared at some point today. I'm still
looking for it, and it may turn up, but in the meantime, I need some help
reconstructing what I can . . . so:
1 - Is there *anybody* out there who has the released portions of the
following series?
Iczelion 1/2 (renamed to Iczelion 3 1/2)
Bubblegum Catgirl Nuku Nuku
I think there may be others, but I'm not sure.
2 - If nobody has these in their saved e-mail folders, I would *greatly*
appreciate help identifying the archive numbers so that I can retrieve
copies from the FFML archive.
3 - Bert, Jeanne . . . please tell me you still have copies of chapters 1,
2, and 3 of my project. You know which one I mean./
I hope and pray that my disk will turn up (in which case this will have
been unnecessary effort) . . . if it doesn't, then I'll still have lost a
lot of work that hadn't reached FFML distribution, but with a lot of luck
and effort, I'll be able to reconstruct most of that.
My thanks in advance to anyone who can help here . . .I *do* hope it
proves unnecessary, but I'm not feeling too confident about finding that
disk. If I haven't found it (or heard from the people who might
accidentally have removed it) by this time tomorrow, then I'll probably
resign myself to the process of reconstructing the work I've lost.
Those of you who are spiritually inclined might pray for me. <weak grin>
