I just got into town today since I left Saturday morning.....Whoo...many
many messages to catch up with.
I feel a little bit of SPAM coming on and ask for respite...
I suppose If I wasn['t tired (got to sleep at 3 got up at 5)
I could have thrown it in poem form and
mixed in a healthy dose of Oh (Ah)(!) My Goddess(!}
Forgive me in this muzzy and thought...It's been said before but ....
I think in some ways 'ole Plato had it right about his "Cave." or in some
ways perhaps I should have said "had it write." We are all (I think) in
some ways divinely rooted...or at least a spark of the divine in a grey
world.
If we look at writers (and as writers) at some sources the power of
control lies within words. In Babylon and Sumer the Mage-Kings, the Priest
Kings made and used the me (or mes) for rules of order and law...(at this
point I'd like to hear a big fanfic welcome to Innana/Ishtar and hope she
and those cute little girls (or should I say Women?) of the Muse smile
upon us (Hi Errato!))
Odin gave his eye for knowlege. hung nine days and nights spear-peirced to
grab up Runes and make mighty enchantments. Names Given and taken for
special powers. In the beginning there was The Word and the word was GOD.
LOGOS.
All we do is follow in that path.
We create the worlds and the people.
Or,
Possibly,
We sneak into the real world (whatever anime and manga we use) and manage
to "consume and digest" a little bit..or let it do the same to us.

But the point is, is that some of the best writers (not just on this
FFML, but in general) constantly walk the shadow world, spinning the
fables of legend.
I just got a shivver here when reading this.....and thought about
"A Season In Hell"
and I don't mean by Eddie and the Crusers either..
"To use the Art of writing, you must be willing to give up a piece of
yourself, to walk in the world of shadows..."
Intriguing. :)
Hey...You mean this isn't a shadow???
I mean, cripes if it's not I've taken the
wrong turn on the Pattern.
Another step, another world.
