Not if you consider one thing: a Nihongo word processor will
present its data in full kanas, without kanji! If that fanfic ever does
get translated to Nihongo, reading it will be much, much
easier!

Anou...you've never actually seen a nihongo word processor, have you? I
used to 
 have the NJStar one, but never got around to registering it...

Now, admittedly, some of the lower-key ones do use nothing but kana.
However, a *true* nihongo word processor, which is the kind I will be
writing any fanfiction on, uses the kana-kanji input system, which works
like so:

-You use standard romanji inputs, which generates kana and kanji onscreen.

-Depending on how you input a word, the processor will display it in one of
three ways:

Your input:				Displayed:

ranma					hiragana
Ranma					kanji; you are allowed to choose the spelling you wish to use
based on kanji reading
RANMA					katakana
