I heard that rumor when it came out over a year ago. Nothing has been said
about it since. I think it was just a joke. The information on the web page

Now... if you had the choice, who would you cast into the various roles
(live-action of course)?

Truth be told, for most of the martial artists, I'd choose portion of the
cast from Power Rangers (the guy who plays Tommy(?) would make a great
Ranma IMO).  Before you send the bad men with the chainsaws after my head,
think about it.

They're young, they're reasonably adept martial artists, they can say dead
ceesy dialogue with a straight face, what more do you need.

What's even scarrier is that you're right.  They might actually be the
only ones who could play the Ranma cast with any degree of accuracy.  I
wonder how they'd manage Akane's hammer trick tho...

Other people I'd grab out of the "unknown" pool of actors.

Well, I don't know, I think Van Damne would make a great Genma...
