Lighten up people. If, _if_ this is all true
about Hitomi, (sorry, but the "proof" is just a _little_ scarce to my mind)
then that's life. Strange life, but life none-the-less. Does it really matter 
if she is a figment of her own imagination? Do you feel betrayed by her lie?
Ha, welcome to the real world. Open your eyes, smell the coffee, and pat your
pocket to make sure you've still got your wallet, because people lie about
themselves, even make up identities for themselves, all the time on the
internet.

True enough...

Personally, the fake name thing (if true) doesn't bother me. Hitomi's
works stand on their own merits, no matter what her real name,
ethnicity, or (original) gender.

BUT:

I am a little put out by the fact that she was portraying herself as an
expert on Japanese culture. I had bought into this, as did many others,
apparently. If Ken A. hadn't come along to set things straight, I'd have
accepted what she said as regards the Japanese position on abortion. If
that had happened, it might well have ended up screwing up a fic that I
still consider to be one of the best things I've written.

Just something that I felt had to be said. I still very much hope
Hitomi/Whoever comes back to finish her fics.
