Heh, just what I said, except I said it longer. ;p ^_^

Personally, the fake name thing (if true) doesn't bother me. Hitomi's
works stand on their own merits, no matter what her real name,
ethnicity, or (original) gender.

BUT:

I am a little put out by the fact that she was portraying herself as an
expert on Japanese culture. I had bought into this, as did many others,
apparently. If Ken A. hadn't come along to set things straight, I'd have
accepted what she said as regards the Japanese position on abortion. If
that had happened, it might well have ended up screwing up a fic that I
still consider to be one of the best things I've written.

What did 'she' (sorry to all transexuals, but I just can't count a male
who changes to have a female body as 'female'... it's a Ranma thing...)
say that the Japanese position was on abortion?

>From what I've read, it seems to be a pretty normal thing to do in
Japan, seeing as the pill was/is very hard to get hold of, and most
people either use condoms or the rhythm method. (Heh, they have condom
ladies travelling door to door, selling condoms to house wifes! ^_^ )

Well, when that started I got the impression that she was from Hiroshima or
some other area that had a lot of Christian-missionary activity (apparently
the Catholic-church bashing was when I wasn't subscribed here). Luckily I
already knew a lot of random stuff about Japan before I joined the ML.

Just something that I felt had to be said. I still very much hope
Hitomi/Whoever comes back to finish her fics.

And I hope that when 'she' does, 'she' apologises to everyone, too.

That would be nice.
