JU>Now, a little about one other thing that this revelation of Hitomi's true na
JU>has caused, people sending posts where they basically say: 'I'm me and not
JU>somebody else.' Why are you people doing this? I see no reason not to use
JU>a pseudonym or an alias on this list. I know I would have stayed 'The Martia
JU>if my mail addy hadn't been a dead give-away.

I made sure I wouldn't have that problem. ^_^

As for myself, I see nothing inherently bad about this alias
thing. I've been known as "Demon Sword" throughout my
whole life on-line. "Demon Sword" is a "real" and living
person, it's who I am. It doesn't really matter if I'm different
on-line or off-line, the Demon Sword you see here is the
Demon Sword you get anywhere.

Many of my principles and ideals as Demon Sword are the
same as I have them in RL. It's more the anonymity and
the romance of being a mysterious entity that makes aliases
so intriguing and enticing.

JU>Then again, its a completely different thing if you use a pseudonym to do
JU>something dubious(I think that's the right word).

Yes, I agree. But I personally have never done anything of
the sort, and I'm sure that most of us here with aliases don't,
either. There is no element of deception here other than
the concealment of the true name (and not the concealment
of the identity).
