Just a guideline which I hope everyone will
try to follow:

1.) In responding, try to limit your quoting, since
      excessive quoting can really make reading
      messages a chore, especially on a high
      traffic list such as this.

2.) When responding to things not really pertaining
      to the theme of this list (i.e. - fanfics) and which
      don't have to be seen by everyone, try to reply
      to the original sender privately. This might
      cover information requests.

Just something I picked up from experience which
might help us reduce unnecessary traffic and keep
the SPAM level down. I know that I myself sometimes
break these guidelines, but if we all chip in it'll
make a difference.
