Subject: Let's All Make Fun Of Tybalt...

I'll take it that most people on this list really do not like Tybalt.
Perhaps because he is so strict, and appears to lack any understanding
what so ever. I dunno. I neither like nor dislike Tybalt. He's just
there, looming over us, keeping a close watch, ready to ban someone with
the flick of the wrist. It is almost scary that one can have such power,
but I am sure moderating is a pain. Particularly on a list this size.

I asked him once what he thought about moderating. I was making light of
the subject at the time, but I did get a response:

And FFML moderator is busier than you think. In addition to yelling at
people, I have a life apart from the list. Moderator duties are
time consuming and unpleasant, which is one reason I'm normally cranky.
That, was the fact that avoiding having me yell at you is not very hard.

Yes, notice how he says 'Moderator duties are time consuming and
unpleasant."

I don't think Tybalt likes moderating very much. I think he knows how
people feel about him. Yet, he does this by his own free will [I think].
He could quit at anytime he wanted to, but he stays and takes the abuse.
Why? I do not know. Perhaps he's a sick person and enjoys this kind of
punishment. Maybe it's the power to decide who lives and who dies. Maybe
he feels like he owes something to the list.

Do I respect Tybalt? Yes and no. I do respect him for the amount of time
he puts into moderating. But I think he moderates too much. Some threads
are, believe it or not, really quite useful. And how many people actually
take a banned thread to private e-mail? Who knows what great ideas would
have been released into the world if Tybalt didn't ban threads.

Anyhow, since Tybalt is gone for the next few weeks, this is the ideal
time to insult, er, I mean explain how you feel about him and his
moderation. Do you think he needs to improve, or do you think he's doing
just fine the way it is? And, while you are at it, come up with some, er,
creative names for Tybalt. Of course, this does all boil down to who's
the better moderator: White Wolf or Tybalt. (Gosh, I wonder who is going
to win...)

Well, I am going to bed now. Sleep once again has gotten itself lost on
it's way to my house, but I think it has just begun to arrive. I had
better end this here before I pass out onto the keyboard. Hmmm... but if
I did that, I could catch a few extra seconds of sleep. Naw, it's not
worth it. GOOD GRIEF!!! It's getting light out. Arghs! I have to be up in
less than three hours. Why do I do this to myself?

QUOTES!!! I NEED QUOTES!!!
