First of all, There is no chapter 9 to the Nameless Sequel, okay? None.
Dunno how the rumor got started, but it almost certainly does not exist.
Honest. Trust me.

Comments on recent fics:

Evanjellydonut. Never seen Eva. Still loved the preview. :) Mr. Huang
seems to be one of the more promising humor writers to join the list.

Nick's New Ukyou Fic (Far and away?). More angst, self-examination, and
soul-seeking from the master. The introduction of a Burakumin chara is a
novel touch; Suse Doenime seems to have started a trend. :)

Bob Barnes's Cut Water and Carry Wood. Liked the previous fic in this
series; the successor looks to be just as intriguing.

On the threat... er, promise... of a new fanfic review team from LaShawn -
goody. :) We need more fun critiques.

On the whole "twilight of the FFML" thread... sorry, I don't buy that the
list is now a dark and gloomy place where no-one has any fun. I don't buy
that we're all at each other's throats.

We have the same tired old discussion every three months or so. Someone
says the list isn't as fun as it was back in the grand old days. A bunch
of other people agree with him/her. A week later, the argument dies out
for another three months.

Only now there's a new wrinkle. Tybalt.

I'll be frank. I don't like Tybalt.

On the other hand, I don't know if the moderator is someone I want to
like. You don't want a warm, caring, friendly sort as a drill sergant. You
want someone who'll do the job, keep people in line, and help if he needs
to.

Quite frankly, I'd be more worried if Tybalt was friendly with people. I'd
be afraid that he'd look the other way if a 'friend' of his flamed, or
spammed.

As for his erraticness.. *shrug* I'd be surprised if he could keep track
of every thread. But while I've often seen him snarl at the list, I've
never seen him threaten anyone who wasn't doing something against the spam
codes.

And, on the day I needed help with a list problem, he was quite civil. Not
friendly, but civil.

I look at the options. I can live with Tybalt cracking down on spam
threads and yelling at people who send test messages. But if the list goes
above, say, 300 messages a day.... which it _had_ been at, when the list
population was much, much smaller... I'd unsub. I don't have the time or
energy to read 500 test posts, fic requests, and debates over what the
best anime is.

I still don't like Tybalt, but I think he's better than the alternative.
