Hello!
Did I get your attention? Good. ^_^
I wasn't going to post this, 'cuz I posted something similar back on August 2.
I was unsubbed from the FFML this past weekend. I didn't receive any
notification of being bounced or anything similar. My e-mail count dropped
severly and I asuumed that Natsume/WW/Thom was upgrading the FFML hardware.
To see if I was correct, I did the following:
1. I went to the following web page: http://illusion.snu.ac.kr/~wacko/ffml/.
2. I clicked on 'List Archives'
3. I clicked on 'archive-today'
4. I saw that 'Siblings 9' was listed and I immediately started back up my
Eudora Pro.
5. I re-subscribed to the list. I sent the following message:
To: fanfic-request@fanfic.com
Subject: subscribe
Message: <empty> (You don't need anything in the message area)
6. After receiving the FAQ confirmation, I waited for the next message to be
sent from the FFML.
7. The last message I received from the FFML was archive number 42336.
8. The next message I received was archive number 42485.
9. I then sent a message similar to the following:
To: fanfic-request@fanfic.com
Subject: archive (DO _NOT_ MIS-SPELL THIS!)
Message:
get latest/42337
get latest/42485
quit
10. Between the above two 'get's, I listed a get for each archive number
from 42237 to 42485. Yes that means I had over one hundred 'get' lines
in the message.
11. The FFML archive sent ALL of the messages that I requested. The smallest
in size first, the largest being last.
12. I then browsed through the posts with the knowledge that the DBTFH
wannabe in a mecha suit didn't get mad at me.
THAT my friends is what I did this past weekend for half an hour.
Ja ne!!!!!
