I don't think the physical body can replenish just by spiritual contact
alone.  The body can't just function forever without rest.  Of course we
are dealing with metaphysics/religion/anime here......

This is very true... but sometimes, physical exhaustion can be mental
as well...  Say Ranma walked for 20 miles while Bitter slept... at the
end of those 20 miles, Ranma might be tired...  Now, if Bitter then
took control of the body, he is more mentally alert and can walk a bit
farther...  but it would cause a strain on the body if this kind of switching
around is done for too long...

The girl walked up to Ranma and started yelling at him in Chinese.  She
gestured
towards Genma, so Ranma turned around.  There, Genma-Panda was sitting
contentedly
by a table filled with food, or rather, the left overs of a big meal.  Ranma
turned
back towards the girl and said, "I'm sorry, but I don't speak Chinese..."

I thought one of the tribe spoke chinese?

Yes, Bitter speaks Chinese, but he is not in control of the body at this
point....

"Enough of this boy,  I was going to go easy on you.  But it looks like I've
misjudged
you.  You are not worthy of joining my tribe.  You will die."  Cologne said.

Maybe, she was just joking here.... I thought Ranma already passed the
test.

Uh... no.  Cologne will be back later, and she WON'T be a happy person...

Overall, Ranma is a mystery.  Looking forward for the next part.
