Another thing? Why does most everybody use the Anime versions of these 
type of things? No one ever seems to use the manga. Hardly ever do I 

find 

a fic where the female Ranma doesn't have red hair. Do more people 

watch 

the anime than the manga, or what? I frankly do not understand. But 

there 

is a lot about fanfic authors I don't understand. 

The problem is further confounded by people like myself, who have only 
seen portions of both manga and anime, thereby resulting in genuine 
confusion when someone mentions something in obvious reference to an 
unseen episode/issue.  (The constant references to a ``wedding'' are 
enough to drive me insane!)
