  Yep.  While the last NYC earthquake was around 1912 or so and the odds
on another one happening are very slim, it IS possible.  Every 50 years
in Boston?  *Piku* I picked a fine place to move to..  :-P

if an earthquake happened once in NYC, then the odds of another one
happeneing are %100, although the odds of another one happening within the
near future might be fairly slim.

of course, even if an earthquake had never happened there, i'd judge the
probability of one happening there eventually at %99.9999 at least =)
