Easy. Blue eyes is a recessive trait, and both Genma and Nodoka are
heterozygous. They carry both the brown eye allele and the blue eye allele,
and the brown eye allele is dominant. That means that its perfectly
possible for a couple both with brown eyes to have a child that is
blue-eyed.

Next time, choose a more challenging problem. :)

Tsk, tsk.  Thanks for the rational explanation.  Now I remember, although
it's been a long time since I took Bio.  That should teach me to ponder
questions like that at 4 AM in the morning.  ^_^     But I'm glad to know
that blue or green eyes would not be considered extraordinary or suspicious.

Hmmm.  I'm fairly sure I saw an episode where Ukyo has blue eyes, too.  And
there's Shampoo and Mikado Sanzenin, etc.  Now if I can only find an episode
that has a good closeup of Kuno....  :P
