I'm going to be writing a fanfic which will feature Tamiya-sempai
from AMG quite prominently. My question is: should I use Dark Horse's
method of depicting his dialog ("Dat's right! Don' even t'ink 'bout
losin' pal!! Da club's whole damn budget for dis year is on your
race!") or would that get annoying?
Well, given that's how most of us are familiar with him.. and that's how
_I'm_ going to depict him, it's as good a way as any to show him for the
lovable knuckle dragger he is.. ^_-
ACK! Barry, don't do that! I've got enough problems keeping up with my
multiple lists without you posting on the FFML too. However, I do
agree, unique mannerisms, especially mannerisms that the general FFML
populace are familar with makes a story, somehow more authentic and
easier to follow. Your audience can more easily see it in their minds as
just another side anime. That's why I've tried to study and duplicate
Ranma's loose speaking habits in my fics. Gary could write an essay on
talkin' Big Cauhunesse. All in all, I say go for it.
