That's incredibly cynical.  And a lot of the people who contribute to this
mailing list aren't 'anally retentive about things they can't accept what
you're writing cos you're not the series original creator.'  If Ranma is 
'OOC' in Slayers 1/2, all I'd ask for is a reason why, same with Akane.
What changed them, in other words.  
And I don't think ANY (and that goes for ANY) author here would say 'This
sucks' just because they feel like it. We're writers too and I think we'd
all take into account how that would feel.
