If she wants to write OOC characters, she should expect comments to
that effect - if she writes Ranma OOC, then of course she will get
people telling her that her Ranma is OOC.

Well, it seems that people disagree with you. But, well, Akane was clearly
shown to be totally OOC (at least in some places), as was the fact that
it was clearly shown that Ranma and Akane's love has been just thrown out
the window (hence both of them are totally OOC) ... so even if it's not
OOC in ALL ways, there is still too much OOCness for everyone to be happy,
at least among the Ranma characters.

should be objectionable, seeing how it leads to a story as funny as this

Well, it's obvious from Christina's attempted guilt trip that people DO
object to it. *shrug*  Some people can't get past her characterisations
of Ranma characters to really appreciate the humour.

That said, I have to agree with what others have said, that it's
necessary to develop a thick skin when it comes to getting C&C.
Sometimes negative criticism can help to make a story better. Other
times it's of no use, in which case I think the best thing to do is to
explain to the C&Cer why what they're suggesting wouldn't be best for
your story, and move on.
