It's a sad thing to see that someone whose story is worth reading is
going to stop posting it because of constant flames from the
"purists". If Christina-san *does* stop posting this story, all of
you who fed her negative comments should hang your heads in shame.
You won't, of course, because your personal tastes will be satisfied,
but this is, last I checked, a mailing list where fanfics of all
varieties are supposed to be welcome. And, judging by this,
apparently some of us have forgotten that.

Ahem. I just zoomed back and checked the last chapter she posted.
It said send all comments. All. If she does not want to hear negative
comments, it is well within her rights to request that she not be sent
them. She did not, and so people voiced their problems.

If you don't like Slayers 1/2, you know where the delete button is.
But there *are* those of us who *like* this fic and are going to be
*very* annoyed if Christina-san is forced to stop posting it.

Forced to stop? I'm sorry, but she chose to stop. She chose to stop
using this list, based on the reactions she received from people.
Perhaps that's not right. But it isn't as wrong as you're trying to
make out either. It was her choice to make, she could have just as
easily ignored the 'bad eggs'. If she chooses to withdraw from an
entire mailing list because of comments from some of its members,
then that is that.

It boils down to this: negative C&C can hurt, especially when you're
a new author. But often, one cannot grow, develop without it. If I
want to say something negative about a story, I will. Just as if I want
to say something positive, I will. And no little guilt-trip like this one
is going to change that.
