I just found this in my archives. I posted it to afsm in
June. As I recall, Chris Davies was the only one to notice.
I believe "WHAT THE HELL WAS THIS ALL ABOUT?!?!" was his
response.

Er... I think I agree ^_^

	Umm... Ditto.

It's easy. It's a Sailor Moon / The Young Ones X-over. Or so it
seems.

Pity he didn't quite catch neither the SM humor nor TYO's. It's
something in between. For both series, the characters are somewhat
OOC (closer to TYO, though). I liked a lot the part of the landlord
(Minako Bolowski? you're cruel..).

Anyway, this is an answer to the person at Otakon who asked
why I don't write funny stories, only serious stories with
funny bits...

People think that writing good drama is more difficult than writing
"mere humor". Actually it's the other way around. It's easy to
include SOME humor in a serious story, but writing a good comedy
it's another matter entirely. Normally you end up with a story that
jumps from gag to gag, using the plot as a means to connect them,
like a bad lemon, jumping from sex scene to sex scene.

I've seen a lot of good drama in this list, but very few comedies.
Most of them shortfics. It's very hard to write a really long story
and keep it humorous all the way.

Parodies, on the other side, are easier (not much, though) you "only"
need to know well the target of your "attentions" and be in the
aproppiate mood. Normally it's a matter of exagerating traits, tics
or odd behaviour of people, abusing the plot resources, using
cliche after cliche, etc.
