Ranma and Akane *don't* belong together, but not because of 'The Bitter
End.'  They're just generally incompatible people.

  I don't think that ANYONE can really make that statment one way or the
other!  A large group of us believe that Ranm and Akane's problems are
due to their incredibly young age.  They're not even out of school yet,
and they need to consider giving their lives to someone else?  Good God!
The prospect of marriage leaves many well-adjusted adults quaking.  And
you expect these two to youths to take this in mature stride?  They're not
even finished discovering who they are themselves, much less have to
consider someone else and who that person is becoming.  I think that to
simply state that they are not for each other is presumptious in the
extreme.  Who can say?

  Enough of that!  Zen, I also enjoyed your piece, as twisted as I may
have thought it was.  Don't let the flames get to you.
