-Yes and no.  It was repellently sweet, but that's appropriate 
for Kasumi's internal dialogue.  Incidentally, "without" is one
word.  But I'm one to talk.  I just confused hypoglycemic with
hyperglycemic, the condition of having excess glucose (sugar) in one's
blood.  I always confuse those two.  This correction is, incidentally
why I'm bothering the list again.  Otherwise, I'd just have sent
my response privately.

that control can not be lightly cast away.  In this case, Kasumi seems more
likely to respond to emotional upset by emotionally distancing herself, by
inculcating guilt in the offending party or by activating tear ducts as
opposed to verbal aggression.

uh...ok.

Boggs:  Kasumi don't shout at people when she gets upset.  She 
just makes 'em sorry they were mean to her.  

Mizu:  Actually I'd like to see a story where it's suddenly
revealed that Kasumi is developing an ulcer because she never
vents her frustration.
