You know, that raises a good point.  I wouldn't feel so unsympathetic if
there had been some point where Ranma said, "You know, that wasn't a
good thing I did," followed by some remorse and a resolve to do better.
And the remorse doesn't have to be blatant, if you want this to be
something that slowly builds.  Something as simple as the realization
that he had stooped to Kodachi's level would be a good start for him on
the road to enlightenment.

As it is, all I got from him is disappointment that Akane's intervention
prevented him from carrying his deception to the fullest.  And that
didn't make me feel good about him.
