"Hey, Sylia, maybe we oughta stop here? Looks like as good
a spot as any, ne?" asked Nene. She was sweating badly
and gasping for air.

"I dunno... I don't like the look of this place," grumbled
Priss.

"Well, we have been marching around in the dark for the past
two hours," said Linna. "I think Nene's right. Might as
well get some rest now."

Something moved in the dark and charged towards them.

Nene screamed.

Priss spat out some obscene vernacular and pulled out her
'Earth Shaker' cannon.

***BLAM***

--------------------------------------------------------------
They've survived rampaging boomers, scheming and ambitious
Genom executives, and megalomaniac SuperBoomers with messiah
complexes, but can they survive, without their hardsuits,
for a week...
--------------------------------------------------------------

Sylia sighed.

"Nice shooting, Priss"

--------------------------------------------------------
On a hiking trip?
--------------------------------------------------------

"Priss, you just obliterated a squirrel."

Linna snickered.

"No way!" said Priss angrily. "Did you see the FANGS on that
thing? It was some sorta mutant squirrel or something! Hey,
maybe a boomer squirrel!"

"You really shouldn't be so paranoid about forest animals, Priss,"
chided Sylia. "If you keep this up, you'll be shooting at
mosquitos."

----------------------------------------------------------
Can Sylia, Priss, Linna, and Nene survive a week-long trek
across rivers, forests, and mountains?

BGC: When Nature Calls
----------------------------------------------------------

Okay, I guess I'd better explain this...

A while back, I recall seeing on NBC's Dateline a story about
this big endurance race that was held annually that attracted
people from AROUND THE GLOBE. Participants were from every
walk of life, from the hobbyist, to groups sent by their
corporations, all sorts, really. The only rules were that
you worked in teams of 4, you had to prepare your own supplies
and stay on the course.

So I was thinking... what if Sylia decided that the Sabers
needed an excercise in teamwork? Besides, it just might
make for a nice vacation. And so the story begins...

what'cha think?
