My ego has recieved a bruising lately. With the new blood on the
List,i'm seeing first time posters with stories six to seven times
longer than my first post and i'm man enough to admit i'm jealous.I
know,intellectually, that more writing will improve me but it was still
an emotional kick in the crotch.

Well, I used to think this way as well.  But I have realized that size is
not a measure of excellent writing.  There are quite a few short stories
that are great.  A few by Lawson come to mind.  Think of it this way...
would you rather read 8 glorious pages of good prose, or muddle through
160 pages of bad prose, mistakes, etc. etc.

I have also had a small bit of innocence taken from me . A author i
respect recently posted some material that was interesting to say the
least. I had not thought this person could do such work.That naivet'e
was my fault. No on stays the same and i know of two other writers
who,IMHO, are ruining their stories with lemon bits. A mistake,IMHO. I
have not seen a lemon dealt with in a realistic manner. Look at what you
are writing about,teenagers engaged in unprotected sex.
Pregnancy,Aids,Abortion,the social stigma attached to out of wed lock
births.These issues are never addressed. Can we realstically expect
forteen to eigthteen year olds to perform better than triple x movie
stars?

Well, at least I labeled my lemons as such...  :/  But think about it in
this way.  Hentai's like me would like to see the wild thing taken out to
a really high degree.  At least, you can thank god that no one posted a
wild self insertion lemon... :P

But yes, you do have a point.  Fics with sex ought to have a little focus
on the aftermath in a realistic way...  Actually, I would like to see a
fic where two people are going to have sex, have the scene perfectly set
up, and at the last moment, decide to put it off. :P  Now, to make that
humourous....

I dont know how long i'll be gone but once i buy the webtv printer
adapter,construct my website and work on my writing, i'll be back in
full force.
