This is a little idea I had suddenly. It being late, as usual, I
decided I had nothing better to do than write it out. So, here's a
little meaty flavored short story.

A Ranma 1/2 Short Story
Ranma vs. Ryoga
"What are they doing?"
Akane looked back at her sister Nabiki, who was coming out from the
house. She turned again to the subject of her attention before
answering, "Well, Ryoga came over to start a fight with Ranma."
Nabiki, at first, was amazed by the fact Akane didn't blame Ranma.
Then, she verbalized her main concern, "At two in the morning?!"
Sure enough, it was dark out. Both Akane and Nabiki were in
pajamas. Ranma was clad in his usual boxers. Only Ryoga was fully
dressed, though looking a bit ruffled.
"Yea," replied Akane, "he just found the dojo, and couldn't wait
until morning. He was worried if he went to sleep on the doorstep, he
might wake up anywhere."
"Allright. That's all good and all. However, that doesn't explain
what they're doing now."
Ranma and Ryoga were sitting on two rocks opposite each other.
Only three feet apart, they were staring into one another's eyes with a
look of intense concentration. Ranma's eyebrow was twitching, and
Ryoga's head was vibrating ever-so-slightly.
Akane moved over so Nabiki could sit next to her. Then she
continued her explanation, "Okay, Ranma woke up with a stone to the head
from Ryoga. It was a big stone. Ryoga wore himself out with it as a
matter of fact. Ranma was obviously tired, and dazed on top of that due
to the rude awakening."
She cut off as the two competitors seemed to make some progress in
what they were doing. Ryoga's right eye started to roll back into his
head. Ranma's ear had a small trickle of blood coming from it. Both
now had slightly visible battle aura's surrouding them.
Nabiki gazed at this with interest, then said, "Yea, go on."
Akane was shaken from her observations. "Uh, so, then Ranma tells
Ryoga to go away until tomorrow so he can get some rest. Anyway, he
thought Ryoga could use some himself. But, as I told you, Ryoga would
have none of it. He insisted Ranma fight him right at that moment."
She stopped again as Ryoga let out a little gasp. Both fighters
seemed to be loosing breath, straining for oxygen.
"Then..?" Nabiki pleaded.
"Then, Ranma made a suggestion. He figured, since both were
physically tired, they should engage in a long unused martial arts
dueling technique. The Battle of Wits."
Nabiki gasped. "You can't be serious!"
As if to make a point, Ryoga suddenly fell over, shaking in slight
convulsions. His eyes were entirely drawn back into his head and blood
gushed from his nose.
Before either spectators could leap up to help, an 'urk' drew their
attention to Ranma. He was trying to make his head stop oscillating on
its own. After a few seconds of this, he finally gave up and collapsed
as well.
Akane and Nabiki looked at the two boys, rythmically spasming on
the ground.
Nabiki turned to Akane. "So, who won?"
Akane just shrugged.
Both thought it was all rather anti-climactic.
