Subject: [Mother-Of-SPAM] The most popular fanfic ever?

Damn it! This question has been nagging me forever, but I have been
hesitant to ask? I would think that someone else would ask this question,
but alas, no one ever has. I've heard questions simular to this, but not
this exact one. So, now I am going to ask it.

My question is this: What is the most popular, well known fanfic and/or
series of all time? The one that more people associate with fanfics than
all others. If you walk down the street, and ask the first person you come
across, "when you hear the word fanfic, what comes to mind?" And they
reply, "what's a fanfic?" So you continue your little venture until someone
gives you an answer, what is that answer? And who is the most well known
fanfic author of all time? And what happened to him?

Why do I do this? Why do I post all this SPAM? Is this a disease I have?
Hmmm... I wonder if Hormel is upset that internet users use one of their
product's names in a bad way? Have Spam sales increased or decreased as a
result?

AUGHS!!! I did it again. I should delete that last segment, but I won't.
You see how bad my problem is! I hate it. I want to crawl into a hole and
hide. As long as I can get cable.
