The problem with Akane wishing to be a better cook is that she'd first have

to admit to herself that she isn't the best cook in Nermia.  (If she was

self-introspective, the series would be a great deal less fun)



At least Lum tastes her own cooking. ("Hmm... not spicy enough.  Where are

those red peppers, t'cha?")
