And to those who predict that the dark days of anime are ahead of us, may I
remind you that ppl have been predicting this for a while now.  I'm not
particularly outraged by what I see being currently produced.  On top of
that, those who complain the loudest about the current state of anime are
usually Gundam and Macross fans, two shows more tedious and boring I cannot
think of....

How can you say that? Macross, maybe... (tho Mac7 is _fun_) 
But Gundam? OK. I can see F-91, 0083 and perhaps X and G being... tedious.
But what about Orig. Gundam, 0080, Wing...

Infidel I may be, but I've never seen what others see in either Gundam or
Macross, and yes, I have seen the original series, 0080 and Wing.  The only
Gundam I can tolerate is Wing.  As for Macross....  AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH.  I'm
sick and tired of people telling me what a great classic this is in any of
its forms.  I was almost converted by Macross Plus, but the ending to that
series was so limp....  I feel absolutely nothing when I watch these shows
other than boredom and the sense that I could be having more fun cutting
off various appendages of my body with a blunt knife....

And what does this have to do with fanfics?  ( I have to justify mailing
this to the FFML somehow, this ain't a general anime ML)  I will
immediately erase any that say "Macross" or "Gundam", regardless of whether
it is a good story or not.  I've wasted enough of my life with these
series.  And I expect others to do the same to any fanfic I may write in
the future....  Each to their own.

Of course, I may be wrong.  I often am....
