~Chapter 2~
"In a nearby storyline, a figure sleeps and dreams..."
"I don't care about the others, Washu-Chan. I want to be your greatest
experiment," Tenchi says as he tries to seduce a playfully unwilling Washu.
"I need you... now. We must hurry before the others find us, like this,"
Tenchi smiles...
The dreamy bedroom suddenly begins to warble badly. The surrounding images,
flicker, fade then go dark. The moving, shaking sensation gets stronger and
stronger. Washu desperately tries to get back to the original scene.
Suddenly Washu feels small tickling sensations all over. She doubles over
trying to stop it. The relentless attack is finally too much to stand and
she groggily stops the hands in real life.
A dark female silhouette looms over her. In a softly melodic voice the
figure speaks. "Washu you sure are a heavy sleeper," the strangely familiar
voice says. "I really hate to bother you like this, but we need your help. "
" I know that voice, but you shouldn't be here," Washu sleepily states. The
gears in her head sputter and pop, groaning into action. "That lucid
dreaming must really have knocked my senses silly, " she thinks to herself.
"I must be imagining all this."
"I really am here, " the figure states softly somehow reading Washu's
thoughts. "Though, I can only stay in this dimension briefly."
That jump started Washu's intellectual facilities. "Who are you?" Washu
asks as she reached for her light. With a snap the small bed light casts a
soft glow, better illuminating the surroundings and the figure.
"Belldandy?" Washu gasps quizzically.
"Meanwhile back at the Tendo's..."
Genma and Soun are relaxing on the porch playing their daily game of Shogi.
Kasumi contentedly walks over to them with pitcher of iced tea and glasses
for the two combatants. Akane relaxes on a chair next to them wiping the
sweat off her brow; the result of an exhilarating Kempo workout. She smiles
to herself as she views one of Mr. Saotome's classic distract and rearrange
maneuvers.
Approaching them walking up to them from the front gate is Nabiki and an
unknown younger girl. Kasumi smiles at the new arrivals, "Welcome home,
Nabiki, who's your friend?"
"This is Shione, my new little sister, " Nabiki announces as Shione gives a
shy smile.
Akane raises an eyebrow and queries, " Hmm... has the warranty expired on
me, Nabiki?"
"Oh no, not yet. "Nabiki smiles. "She's a freshmen from school who is now
under my tutelage. Its a new school program that Koucho Kuno announced
today. I'll be helping her adapt to life at Furinkan. We upperclassmen call
them our little sisters and brothers. I'm sure it will be the buzz at school
tomorrow." Nabiki and Shione begin to walk into the house. "Oh yeah, Dad,
here's the newspaper that you wanted, " she hands the paper to Soun and
walks inside.
"Thank you, Nabiki, " Soun blindly accepts and 'accidentally' drops the
paper on the Shogi board. "Oh darn, will you look at the shame of my
clumsiness. We'll have to call this game a draw." Soun smiles as he begins
clearing the board.
"Unfair!" Genma barks. "That was no accident! I was honestly winning that
game!"
Soun retreats into his newspaper and begins to read.
Genma gets up and strides into the yard. He shields his eyes from the late
afternoon sun as he surveys the surrounding neighborhood. "Where is that son
of mine?" He openly asks himself.
Akane perks up from a daydream and responds, "He said that he had some
things to take of in town. Whatever that's supposed to mean."
Genma groaned, "That figures. He knew that we had some techniques to work
over today. He has just been so distracted as of late."
"Hmmm.... I feel inspired," Akane suddenly, cheerfully blurts out. "Kasumi,
could you help me with a few things in the kitchen?"
Not commenting on the ashen faces of her father and Mr. Saotome, "Sure
Akane, let's go have some fun in the kitchen. I can feel something in the
air too. I can't really explain what... It just feels ... different.
The two sisters set off for high adventure on the gas powered range.
After a silent pause in which the comrades reconstituted themselves Soun
points to something interesting in the paper. "This is pretty weird Saotome."
Genma, absently replies "What's that?"
Soun reading with his finger, "It says here that yesterday a weird blue guy
and a smaller white bunny clad guy created some kind of disturbance at Tokyo
International Airport. Nobody was hurt but several minor bicycle accidents
occurred. The strangers walked among rush-hour distracting and scaring many.
They eventually disappeared into the city."
"Its sure is a strange world out there, Tendo. By the way do you feel
something strange?" Genma bantered.
"Strange, is very relative term, Saotome." Soun replied. "I really can't say."
Genma sets off to look for Ranma.
~Chapter 3~
"At Neko-Hanten battle plans are drawn..."
"(English) OK, Tick ... tell me the plan," Cologne asks patiently.
"The Demon-Boy lives here." Tick says pointing to a tripod mounted map.
"When I encounter him I am to hand him this sealed message of holy words."
Tick shakes a sealed scroll-case. He continues, "The demon will then
understand its plight. Its MY game from that point mmmm ... hmmm." He ends
slurping a bowl of ramen.
"(Chinese) Very good!" Cologne beams in Chinese. Returning to English
Cologne adds," Do not forget the effect water has on him."
"Yes... Yes of course," Tick blindly replies trying to nonchalantly remove
a bit of meat from his teeth.
"While Arthur sleeps..."
Arthur happily sleeps in the small recently converted supply-room supplied
by Cologne. The jet lag induced slumber of Arthur is disturbed by a frantic
babbling white mass of chains and weapons.
"Tick ... I don't care if its ... 6:30 ... I've got to sleep, please!"
Arthur hides under his pillows.
"Arthur...I know this is your name." Mousse implores in English, the
Chinese accent blatantly evident.
Arthur eventually comes to his senses. He begins to speak, "...I recognize
you. You're that guy that served us lunch. You seemed quite interested in
what we were doing."
"Yes, my Shampoo is in great danger," Mousse wails.
"I know that's why we're here," Arthur says trying to sound helpful.
"No! She's in danger because you're here!" Mousse retorts.
"What?!" Arthur says, confused.
"Your friend has been duped by Cologne. We must get out of here before ..."
Mousse stops in mid sentence. A hand caressing across his shoulder distracts
him.
"(Chinese) before WHAT Mousse?" Shampoo chirps as she grabs and crushes his
glasses in her hand."
"(Chinese) Shampoo, you must understand! I can not allow this, " Mousse
declares grabbing his magnifying glass. He quickly surveys his surroundings
looking for something. Keeping a weary distance from the Amazon.
"(Chinese) You will not get in between my love and I, Mousse. Once Ranma is
married to me, I know that he will forget the others. They confuse him too
much!" Shampoo warns holding her heart.
Arthur not understanding anything hides in the bedsheets. His eyes
transfixed on the only escape route. An open window across the room.
Suddenly Mousse finds what he is looking for, the cold water pipe running
across the ceiling. In a flash he fires a dagger at the pipe striking the
target. Water sprays everywhere and the inevitable happens. As the
transformation curse happens in front of a terrified Arthur, he loses it.
"Wha... wha ...wha..." is all that Arthur could stutter out. Arthur watches
as the hissing pink cat lunges at the white duck. The duck makes a half
successful evasion. One paw batters the duck across the room. The duck rolls
head over webs several times before landing by his magnifying glass. Seeing
this it began to squawk emphatically at it. Arthur hesitantly reaches for it
as the cat lands on his back. The shock knocks Arthur off balance. The cat
then bounds off toward a wall it intends to bounce off. Unfortunately for
the cat the duck managed to get back into the air. It plunges at the cat
redirecting the cat's course. The new coordinates send the very pissed off
pink cat into the hallway. Arthur quickly scampers to the door and slams it.
The duck stares at Arthur. After calming down a bit Arthur picks up the
magnifying glass. Arthur stares quizzically at the duck which staring back
at him. The duck begins quacking and points to the window with a wing. "I
hope that you have a good explanation for all this," Arthur stammers out.
The duck emphatically shakes it head up and down in the traditional Western
affirmative. The sound of some squeaks and a rush of water through the
overhead hot water pipe greatly agitates the duck into a new flurry of activity.
"OK" Arthur tiredly replies, "Its a good thing that I can fly, too." Arthur
says he further props open the window.
The two then exit via the window into the early evening air.
