For my own writing, I almost always use ClarisWorks 3.0. And it works, er,
okay. (I don't have the money to buy some expensive program like Word 6.0?
And if I did, I would spend it on therapy. God, do I need therapy!)
MS Word came with my machine. However, see note below.
Is there anybody out there crazy enough to still write out long hand? (You
know, on paper.) If there is, would you please tell me how you manage to
keep your sanity? I tried this once, and it nearly killed me! Seriously!
(Well, okay, not seriously. But it COULD happen!)
I haven't yet written any fics but my SOP is to extensively outline
reports and essays in long hand. I also usually write my introductions out
in long hand as well. Since I was taught basic writing skills before the
advent of the personal computer, I don't find this method cumbersome.
And, this being totally unrelated to the writing thing, do you guys buy,
rent, borrow, or steal you anime? This is totally off of curiosity, but
damn it, I gotta know? And if you buy it, how the hell do you afford it
all? Is there some 'Anime-Of-The-Month-Club' or something where you can
find outrageous deals on various Anime titles?
I buy some. I trade some. I rent some, but Hyde Park video stores have
a limited collection. During the school year, I attend the weekly Japanese
Animation Society showings. This past year, we showed much of Fushigi
Yuugi and all of Escaflowne, as well as the first few episodes of many
other titles and some movies (e.g. Slam Dunk 2, Ghost in the Shell). We do
get permission from the companies before showing commercial titles.
If your wondering why I am asking all these questions, it cause I'm only
about 30% awake right now. I'm afraid I'm going to pass out on the
keyboard. ghdhgsdhdfbhjsgdghsdfb... OPPS!!! (See, I must really be tired,
or real stupid, to do what I just did.) Whenever I'm less than 50% percent
awake, the reasoning part of my brain goes AWOL, leaving everything else to
fend on it's own. (You see, I used the wrong 'its!' Do you need more
proof?!?) So, that's why I am posting this! Please forgive me!
No forgiveness. You are sentenced to the maximum punishment - GET THE
