PRELUDE!!

"I suppose I was supposed to tell my teacher that I was a
Dsadian, but I didn't think he would have cared."
								Branudor Merickson

Prelude
2000 years ago

The wise man stood on top of the mountain, with the
little girl who was her student.
"Watch," beckoned the old man," The Centaurans will
come." And indeed they did, their ships emerging from
Hyperspace just behind the Space Train, the massive
transport that brought the Miakans here.
"The Centaurans have made a grave mistake coming,"
said the little girl. "The Kraakatoranns cannot tell
which are friendly and which are hostile." The
Kraakatorann's only defense, Fighters from the Southern
Quadrant Military, zoomed out from their base on the
Kraakatorass' Moon, and began to attack anything, and
everything that moved, even the Centauran's ships. Out in
space, confusion was the main problem.
"Victoria!," screamed one of the commanders, racing
her four hands frantically on the system computer
systems. "We're under attack by the Kraakatoranns!"
Victoria cursed.
"They must not be able to tell the difference
between the stolen Miakan Dreadnoughts and our
Dreadnoughts," Victoria said. "See if you can establish
contact with them!"
"No can do," replied the commander," Miakan
Dreadnoughts are jamming us!" Victoria clentched her
fists together and growled.
"Attack them with enough strength to let them know
we do not appreciate their actions, and then get us out
of here!"

"They appear to be also attacking the Centauran
Dreadnoughts," said Grand Admiral Yamato, the seventh
Grand Admiral in the newly- erected Empire, as he watched
the Yamato's three Main Battleship Guns attack the ships.
The Super Main Gun, which was located at the bow, wasn't
functional yet, but still looked like a big threat. The
commander looked at the screen.
"But they're only attacking with their one man
fighters."
"They may not have much else in the way of defense,
only offensive weaponry."
"Then, sir," the commander said, scratching his
head," where is it?" Seven Dreadnoughts, painted blue in
color, exited Hyperspace.

General Ceredan watched six of the ships exit
Hyperspace. His ship began to glow.
"No!," he yelled. "No!" His ship dissapeared in a
white blinding light, and what replaced it was another
Dreadnought.

"Blast it!," Yamato said. "They must have realized
that there was a problem with the confusion of the color
of the ships and changed them." he was still reeling from
the fact that there was no explosion from Ceredan's ship.
It just vanished.
"What are your orders?," the commander said. "The
Space Train can hold out against them."
"I'm afraid not. We removed all, or most of the
weaponry aboard it to ensure that it would make past warp
20. We now suffer for our mistakes."
"What are your orders?," asked the commander again.
	"Get us out of here."
"Sir," came a voice from another commander," the
Centauran Fleet is going nuts."
"Add to the already confusion, and signal the other
Dreadnought Destroyers to break up."

"See?," said the wise man," the fleets are breaking
up. "But no matter how much firepower the Yamato takes,
it still survives. A strong ship, it will be the backbone
of the new Empire for years, eons to come." Suddenly
there was an earthquake.
"They can't be bombarding us!," yelled the girl.
"Relax," the man said," relax. They are not
bombarding where we are. They're bombarding around us."
"Then what was that? It sounded like it was near
here."
"Look behind you." The man did not stir. The girl
turned, and looked up at the most impressive collection
of giant robots the world had ever seen. A large one man
fighter, a newly created Shadow Fighter, caught on fire,
crashed near them. The pilot got out.
"Freeze, you," he said, pistol in hand. Both the
wise man, and the girl turned.
"We don't want any trouble," said the girl,
preparing to use her magic," please do not hurt us." The
wise man stepped forward.
"Put the pistol down." The pilot laughed. The girl
let off a magical Shockwave that sent the pilot reeling,
but the pistol went off, and a bullet lodged in the wise
man's chest. He fell, hard against the desert floor. The
girl rushed to help him.
"You mustn't move," she said. "You're bleeding
badly."
"I was brought into this world when the Centaurans
came out of hibernation," he said, sitting up," and I
shall go down when it goes into hibernation."
"But the Centaurans go into hibernation every year
for seven."
"Not for a while. This attack has sent them reeling.
They will assess the damage done to their image, and will
take the proper action."
	"You're dying," said the girl.
"I know. But listen to me. You see those Robotix,
there?"
"Robotix?," she asked, looking up at the giant jaw
of one of them.
"They are the ultimate machines. They cannot be
destroyed, except across dimensions."
	"But why are they here?"
"I cannot tell you that. They were Battleship's best
friends before she died."
	"Battleship?"
"Battleship Yamato was once human. She was killed,
and her mind was placed in the hull of what is now the
Space Battleship Yamato."
"What is it you want me to do?" The girl pressed a
piece of cloth against the wise man's wound.
"Find the eight Robotix warriors. The battle suits
are in the cockpits. They are the only ones that can
activate the suit weapon, which is more powerful than an
ion blast. Write these names down." The girl pulled out a
piece of paper, and a pencil.
"Catalina Kanwak," he said, closing his eyes. He
knew he was dying. "Raye, Mark, Stephanie, and Janis
Kanwak."
"Are they all related?," the girl asked.
"You find one, you'll find the others."
	"Who else?"
"Amy and Bridget Rhyson, and Gretchen Colipiths."
	"But that's eight, not seven."
"I didn't have time to finish the eighth one."
"The rest of the Robotix Warriors will be their kin.
I will summon the rest of the Robotix as they become
warriors."
"But why not summon them now?"
"Because even I cannot tell who, or how many there
will be of the Second Generation." The man began to
cough. The girl helped him sit upright. He was clearly
weakening.
"The Yamato will be your main offensive weapon in
all the attacks," he said. "You must have faith in all of
the warriors, regardless." The girl nodded. The man began
to lose his grip on the girl's wrist. He looked into the
girl's eyes.
"Be Forever....." the man's eyes began to close.
"Yamato." The man collapsed. The girl stared at his
friend and teacher a long time afterward. Be Forever
Yamato, thought the girl. What the man said to her would
haunt her though her two thousand years of searching for
the Yamato, and the eight Robotix Warriors.
