Ok..... here's the plot, and part one. I had this wierd dream last night, and
I kinda wrote it down and stretched it out a little. This is only a small
portion of it, condensed and very raw.... for those of you who have seen
Robotech don't bother writing back saying "HEY!! RANDOLF O'KEEF WAS IN
ROBOTECH!!!!" Becasue I know :D I just couldn't think of another name... and
he's sooo cute anyways ^_^ ANYWAY! On to the story ^_~
This is technically NOT a fanfic, as all (most?) of it is my own work!!! But
still... Rand is from Robotech and he was the coolest dude in Invid Invasion
^_^
Journey Of The Undefeated
By: Gerty-Kins-Sempai <----Me!!!! ^_~
Introduction
For thirteen years Earth had established contact with an alien race known as
the
Cerrdans. They were supposedly an Elite, all powerful race that demanded to
be
respected. The contact between the two races had been strong during the
thirteen
years of transmissions beamed back and forth between the two, mainly because
the
first transmissions had been sent when the Cerrdan's flagship was in space,
near
Pluto's Orbit. The ship's slow, but steady approach toward Earth was
promising, but
was broken off when the Cerrdan's real motives were.
The reports were pouring in. The Cerrdan's were steadily approaching, ready
to
conquer the Earth, ready to wipe out all life, all... for fun.

Reading Memorial High School
The graduates flung their hats off. For Rachel Claudvasico, it was the
happiest day of her life. She hugged her best friend, Magen Albee, who
coincidentially happened to be put next to her. The two had known each other
since
preschool, and had grown up when their races had tension between each other
due
to the third Robotix War.
The two lines filed out the door, and into family's arms. Cameras began to
go
off, and everyone was happy.
"Where's Dad?," asked Rachel, once she had located "The Boyfriend" as
she called him, Connor Turner.
"He's probably working late again," replied her mother, as Connor just stood
there, looking pretty.
"Connor! Rachel! Magen!," came a shout. Everyone whirled around.
"Mellie- Sis!," squealed Megan. They embraced.
"I'm so happy I could lay an egg!," she shouted. "Me and some of my friends
are going to sleep over Rand's house tonight, wanna come?"
"Sure!," yelped Rachel and Megan said together. Randolph O'Keef, the most
popular kid in school, was certainly handsome and most girls would dump their
best
looking crushes for one date with him.
"Now wait a minute," said Rachel's Mom. "Who's going to be there? Who's
chaperoning?"
"His dad," replied Mellie. "He told me personally."
"Then it's OK, I guess," replied her mom. "But call dad from there once you
get there."
"OK," said Rachel. She kissed her mom, and they walked toward Rand's
pickup truck.
"She said you guys could go?," asked Rand, looking at Rachel. Rachel
bushed and nodded, climbing into the back seat of the crew-cab pickup, with
Connor. "OK," said Rand," that's 17 kids."
"Who else is going? The FootBall team?"
"No way. They're too rough. I invited Jeff Swallom, Gretchen Colipiths, and
a
few others."
"I hate Gretchen," said Connor. "She's so tacky."
"Quiet, you," replied Mellie. "She's my best friend." Connor apologized, and
then Rand closed the pickup door.
"Put on your seat belts."
"But I'll get wrinkles!," groaned Connor. Rand whirled around.
"Which would you like? Wrinkled clothes or a wrinkled nose?" he put up a
ist.
"My parents said 'Seat belts save lives' so just put them on, OK?"
"Do I have a choice?"
"You can walk." Connor put on the seatbelt and then the pickup roared off
down the road.
Johnathan Claudavasico was very nervous.
"Have you detected any movement at all from the ships?," asked Dr. Srach.
"No," replied John. "Should I get my daughter into the shelter?"
"Do that. She'll probably call you in a few minutes anyway."
"Alright."
"I gotta call my dad," Rachel said.
"My dad's there also," replied Rand. "C'mon." Rand dialed the office.
"Dad?," he asked.
"Yes," replied Micheal O'Keef. "Listen. THere's a problem. get into the
shelter immediately."
"But...," replied Rand, just as Rachel's father picked up the other line.
"Get Rachel on the line." Rand handed the phone to Rachel."
"Dad?," asked Rachel.
"Get into Rand's Bomb Shelter immediately. there's a problem. I can't
explain
it right now..."
"But dad...."
"Get in there now!" The phone went dead. Rand and rachel exchanged
glances.
"What did he tell you?," asked Rand.
"To get into the bomb shelter now."
"I think we should listen to them. Something's wrong."
"What should we say?"
"The truth."
"Alright." Rand looked at the mail on the table. One had black "For Micheal
O'Keefe's Eyes Only" written on it. Rand's mind told him to open it. He
opened it,
and of all things, read it aloud.
"Dear John," he read," It is of extreme displeasure to inform you that the
Gyro
Cannon will not be effective against......." he trailed off. "Son of a
bitch!" he turned to
Rachel. "Get everyone into the shelter. Now!"
"I still don't understand why we have to stay here," said Jeff. "This was
supposed to be a party."
"I know. But I'll explain later." The door shut and was locked by Rand.
"Are we allowed out of here?," asked Gretchen Colipiths.
"Not until my dad comes."
"Why?"
"I can't explain it. Just trust me. What my father told me is big. And
important.
And the letter I have in my hand is important too." He placed the note into
his pocket.
John and Micheal looked at their watches, and then back onto the computer
screen. Dr Syran walked up to them.
"The Gyro- Cannon has been finished."
"Too late. They're here." Syran looked at the screen.
"Dammnit." He looked up. "Alright. Everyone into the shelter immediately!"
The immense Battleships moved slowly in front of the giant flagship of the
Cerrdan Fleet. The flagship's massive bow opened up, massive servo-motors
whirred and groaned as the ship opened at the bow. A beam shot out, and
struck
the north pole dead in the center. The beam dissapeared. The whole Earth
turned
red for about a minute, and then returned to it's normal blue color. The
servo-motors
closed the bow of the flagship, and then another opening appeared. Three
mile-long
ships shot out of it, and down toward the planet's surface.
For two days the kids stayed in the bomb shelter. No one really said much,
Rand held his shotgun at close range, and said he would kill someone who
decided
to leave early. Food was plentiful, as was water, but no one had much of an
appetite. Finally, Rand's dad phoned.
"Dad?," asked Rand. Many of the kids began to stir.
"Yes," replied Micheal. "Listen. get down to the lab as soon as possible.
but
be careful."
"It's safe to go outside?," asked Rand. His dad replied," yes." Rand
selected
five people to go with him. Rachel, Connor, Gretchen, Mellie and Magen.
"The rest of you stay here. Don't leave unless it's an emergency." Rand and
his five friends got into the pickup and drove off.
"Rand! What happened?," gasped Rachel, looking at the square. Cars had
slammed into each other. Worse yet, there was no one seen anywhere.
"I don't know," replied Rand. "Looks like everyone was taken." Rand drove
straight to the lab, without any regards for the speed limit. They got out
and went
straight into the building as fast as they could. Rand's dad raced to see
them. After
embracing his son, he looked at him.
"You OK?," he asked.
"Of course," he replied. "What's happening?"
"The three landing ships have come," said one technician. "What should we
do?"
"Stay here until further notice." Micheal looked at the kids. "Rachel,
yourdad
is here, but busy. Now listen. We're under attack by a race of beings known
as the
Cerrdan. They wiped out all life as we know it here. Rand. Where's Stacy?"
"She's still in the shelter."
"You should have brought your sister with you."
"Sorry."
"Oh well. Now, we're going to have to stick out the scout period."
"Scout period?"
"The three scout vessels have landed near here. Many will be deployed."
"Do they detect us?"
"No. But they're looking for something."
"What is it?" Micheal faltered.
"I have no idea." Rand sighed. Connor looked at him.
"So everyone's dead?," he asked.
"Yes," replied Gretchen," don't you listen?"
"Shut up," replied Connor.
"Gretchen, he asked a good question," replied Micheal. "We don't know if
everyone's dead or not."
"So what do we do?"
"Lock the doors," he said to the technician. iron door ten inches thick came
down over the whole building.
"Can they get through it?"
"No," replied Micheal. "Not unless their capital ships can."
For three days everyone ate, slept, and watched the computer screens. Rand
sat down next to Rachel.
"This stinks," he said. Rachel nodded. Rand reached into his pocket.
"You want some gum?" Rachel shook her head. Rand pulled out a pice of
paper. Curiously, he unfolded it.
"Gyro- Cannon....." Rand shot up, filled with age. he raced over to the
computer screen.
"Dad...." Micheal brushed him off.
"Dad....," Rand insisted.
"Not now-"
"No Dad, you asshole! You look now!" Everyone stared at him.
"What is it?," asked Micheal, growing angry.
"What is the Gyro-Cannon?"
"How the hell'd you find out about that?" Rand showed him the piece of
paper. Micheal looked at his son.
"Where is it," asked his son," and no tricks." Micheal looked at him.
"You can't be serious."
"I am. I'm going to find this thing and use it."
"How? You'll be spotted by the drones."
"I don't care what sees me. I'm going to destroy these things."
