Draft Part 3a

Shinji looked back forward, trying to think of why the Eva's were
still functional. His mind went through diagnostic after diagnostic,
with no good reason making itself apparent. Finally, after a few
minutes, he leaned back and sighed in frustration.
"You okay?" Came a voice from his right.
He looked over at Sailor Moon, still kneeling on his right hand.
She stared at him with a bit of worry showing on her face. "Yea, I'm
allright."
"Hey!" She exclaimed, looking from him to the Eva. "It didn't
move with you this time!"
Shinji grinned. "Yea, I can control that as well."
"What can't you control on this thing?"
His grin dropped. "You know, that is a good question."
Shinji's attention was drawn by another conversation going on on
the head of Unit 02, standing next to him. He listened closely as he
heard Tuxedo Kamen talking with Asuka.
"How do you control it?" Tuxedo Kamen asked.
"It's real easy actually." Asuka answered. "I become the Eva, you
see? It is linked with my brain waves."
"Doesn't having someone else nearby dissrupt it then?"
"No, it will only respond to my exact frequency of brain patterns."
Shinji jumped a bit as he felt someone shaking him. He glanced up
at Sailor Moon, who was grabbing him and speaking quite urgently.
"Hey! You still with me?" She hissed. "What's going on?"
"Ahh. Sorry." He replied, shaking his head a bit. "I was
listening to what they were talking about on the other one."
"Oh." She looked over at the other head, noticing absently that
she could crush it between her two fingers.
Shinji, listening to Asuka laugh at something Tuxedo Kamen had
said, realized, absently, that he could flick the caped man to Mt. Fuji
from here, if he were so inclined.
     Somewhere, in the Negaverse...
Queen Beryl stared at her orb with a apathetic stare. Cold,
coniving, evil was her gaze. So much that frost seemed to form on the
dispicable globe just because of that glare. Then, she looked up.
Standing before her was a general from her army.
"Nephlite, what have you to report?" Her voice sent shivers down
the spines of all present.
"The Sailor Scouts have destroyed yet another of our creatures, my
Queen. However, this is not the interesting part of the news. It seems
there are two very large robotic beings occupying the space where the
monster once was."
The Dark Queen narrowed her eye's. "Robotic Beings?"
"Yes, my Queen. Standing about forty storeys or so. They seem to
be on the side of the Sailor Scouts, though we can't figure out where
they came from."
"Is this supposed to be good news, Nephlite?" She snapped in
response.
"Actually, it can be seen as such. The two robots also have human
controllers. Meaning they can be manipulated."
"Yes, Nephlite. You have my permission. However, make sure you
get these robots quickly. I do not want them to hinder our energy
collecting efforts."
"Yes, my Queen." With that, he was gone in a puff of smoke and a
crackle of electricity.
Somewhere in the ether of time...
Setsuna checked the boundaries once more. Staring into the
darkness was such a strain. To see past the simple lack of light, and
view the true beauty and chaos of the time stream. Something was
roiling in that mass of multi-colored clouds. Something sinister. She
raised her key to the storm, and whispered some ancient words, known
only to the Guardian's of Time. The key glowed with a bright light,
then sent a beam of pure energy into the seeming void. It struck
nothing, however let out a series of ripples across the vastness of
infinity.
"Wherever you are." She whispered, a growl coming into her voice.
"I will find you. You can hide from everyone, everyone but me."
     At the edge of forever...
     ::The moment is upon us::
     ::We will have our revenge::
::Nothing, absolutely nothing, can stop us::
::Our home destroyed, ourselves destoryed, but our soul, that shall
never be destroyed::
::Yet, our enemies will know no such mercy::
::Move now, we must, or she will find us::
     Tokyo, Harbor Area, 1987...
The sky began to darken, a mass of black clouds forming with
frightening speed.
Shinji noticed this. "Maybe you all should head home, or whatever.
Looks like we're about to get it, bad."
Sailor Moon followed Shinji's gaze. "Hmm. I suppose so. What are
you going to do?"
This brought him up short. "Uh, I hadn't really thought about it."
"That's what I thought. If you can sink this sucker again, you can
probably stay... um" Now it was her turn to come up short.
     "Stay where?..." Shinji prodded.
"Well, actually, I don't know. You see, we can't give away our
secret identities."
Shinji smiled. "You're Usagi Tsukino, age 14, attending Juuban
Junior High."
Sailor Moon nearly fell off the hand, again. "How... how..." She
stuttered.
His smile grew wider. "The Eva has a full record on everyone,
living or dead, born since 1970. I simply scanned your DNA and ran it
through the data banks."
"Wow." Was all she could think of saying. "I guess you could stay
at Mamo-chans place."
     "Mamo-chan?"
     "Guy in the hat."
     "Oh."
END PART 3a
Okay, still puttin' along. Part 3b shall be quicker in coming than this
