A Guyver's Return

At a first glance, it could be any family outing. An old man, a
young man, and five teenagers. There was a picnic blanket on the ground,
with some food crumbs on it. An all-terrain-vehicle, maybe the family car.

But as you gets closer, you would see a few things out of place.
First, the general distruction of the area. The ground all torn up, some
trees burnt, others knocked over, the clifface had a huge gouge in it, a
torn pile of clothes on the ground, and three piles of goo sitting on the
ground. Second, the odd look in the eyes of all those present. They
looked like they had just survived a major threat to their lives. They
look like they consider themselves lucky to be alive. Thirdly, the young
man was completely nude, albeit, he was under a blanket, but there was
enought showing to know, and he was unconscious. Lastly, one of the teens,
an average guy with short brown hair and blue eyes, had no shirt on and a
large patch on his stomach.
The shirtless teen asked, "What should we do now?"
One of the other teens looked back at him and said "We should
attack Mount Minakmi now." The teen was male, and had shoulder length
black hair, and an air of superiority about him. He was dressed in a
purple muscle shirt, which showed off his slightly muscular build.
This was not an all male group. There were two women, but they
were teens themselves. One was slightly shorter than the topless boy, and
had brown hair. The other was just as tall as the topless one, but she had
long dark hair that reached to the middle of her back. "But Sho hasn't
recovered from his injuries, yet!" the brown-haired one retorted. She
indicated the topless boy as "Sho"
"But Mizuki, the blast must have had some effect on the base, and
besides, during the attack, he won't feel a thing." another teen said, he
was a little on the obese side, and wore thick glasses.
"I don't care, Tetsuro! He risked his life for me, for all of us!
He has to let his injuries heal!" Mizuki yelled.
"I'll live, Mizuki, I can handle it" Sho, the bandaged one, said.
He had an odd look in his eyes.
"I insist tha..." further argument was staved off by a loud groan
filling the air. The unconcious man was waking up.
        "Wha? Where am I?"
        "Mr. Murakami!"
"You're awake!" they all rushed to embrace him.
"Yeah, I'm awake, now get off so I can brethe." They obliged and
he said, "Air is such a nice thing." He started to move out from the
blanket, noticed his attire, blushed a little, and asked, "Any one have
some clothes I could borrow for a while? Thanks, Agito," he said as the
long-haired boy handed him a pair of pants and a muscle shirt. For the
next few hours, stories were swapped, oh's and ah's said and recieved, and
dinner was spread on the picnic blanket.
"I hope you won't mind this, Mr. Murakami, but what are you?" Agito
asked. Mizuki "eep"ed as he said that, shocked by his rudness. Tetsuro,
Sho, and the others all looked cloesly at Murakami.
"I knew it couldn't last" he said. "Alright, I'll tell you. You
all know, or have heard of Commander Guou? Good. Now, realize, that he
probably didn't die in that collapse and distruction of the Japan Branch."
This caused a few incredulous looks. "He's a member of the council that
rules the company, and the members of that council cannot be zoanoids, they
just wouldn't allow a foot soldier the honour of dictating Chronos' life.
So, going back to my tale of man's origins, you know that zoanoids were
being used as fighters, so in order to provide a good fighting force they
needed contollers, or field officers if you will, and they created the
zoalords. They can literally take control of a zoanoids body and use it as
an extention of themselves. There are twelve zoalords on Earth. Commander
Guou is one of these creatures. To make them effective as officers, The
Creators no only gave them the ability to telepathically control the
creatures, but they also gave them the strength equvelent of a
hyper-zoanoid, and they are very, very quick. They also have energy
abilites, anything from a beam of energy, to a sheild of energy. Like all
zoanoids, they can appear as humans, but due to the barly contolled power
within them, some differences appear. In Commander Guou, it's his eyes,
they can't pass for being human. Also, in their human forms, they can
access some of their battle-forms powers, so they are stronger and faster
than most zoanoids. There is no way for a zoanoid to turn on a zoalord,
it's genetically econded in the forms. Absolute loyalty of zoanoid to
zoalord, and zoalord to Creator. I've already told you about the Creators
and The Guyver units."
"But you haven't told us about YOU. I'll give you credit for
trying to side-step my question, but it didn't work."
"I gave it my best shot" Murakami muttered to himself. Louder this
time, "I'm a zoalord." Now everybody looked at him differently. Mizuki,
the other girl, and the old man looked shocked. Tetsuro looked like he was
barely holding his emotions in check. Sho and Agito with out-and-out
hostility. "It's not what you think, I don't work for Chronos. I hate
them as much, or maybe more, than you do. I guess that telling you I'm a
zoalord is little bit of a lie. I am a prototype of Commander Guou." More
shocked looks, from all. "I was created as a test to see if his zoalord
body would come out like it was designed to be. I, and four others, were
subjected to Chronos' experements. We weren't given a zoalords full power,
and were designed to live only for a few weeks. We had weaker laser
powers, and weren't quite as strong or quick, but we could still take over
a zoanoids body, and force them to do our bidding. When we discovered we
could do this, we revolted with the help of some scientists. Unfortunatly,
we didn't succeed, but we managed to do quite a bit of damage before we
were rounded up. The reason why we didn't succeed was because, the other
eleven zoalords were in the base, and they could wrestle control of the
zoaforms from us. I was the only one, the least injured, to survive. That
was five years ago, and from then on, I was dedicated to only one thing.
Kill Commander Guou!"
"Why only kill him? Why not topple Chronos all together?"
"Because he has some information that the others don't know.
Somethings about the Guyver. He HAS to be stopped, and I will sacrafice my
life if neccisary to finish the job I started five years ago with the other
prototypes!" All were dumbfounded, but Sho picked up on something he said.
"Somethings about the Guyver? What things?"
"I really don't know, but they involve things about absolute power
and immortality." The tone of voice he used made sure that the subject is
closed.
'He's not telling all the truth' Agito's voice rang in Sho's head.
"Mr. Murakami, if you can take on a zoanoids body and use it as
part of your own, why haven't you taken on Mount Minakami?"
"Remember, I'm just a test body and therefor don't have as much
power as a true zoalord. Dr. Balkus can easily break my telepathic
control, as you saw with the three Enzyme II's that attacked. He is the
zoalord with the largest telepathic powers."
"He's also the top scientist at Chronos" Sho chimed in. "How's
about this as an idea. Agito, you and Mr. Murakami go and attack Mount
Minakami, while I stay here and keep Mizuki and the others safe, and keep
them company."
"That's a great idea!" Mizuki said with an aproving look in her eyes.
        "I'll go with that."
"Just give some more time to recover. Due to my being a prototype,
I loose energy in my battle-form quickly. But I can push myself for a
short while."
"Then it's agreed." Several hours later, Agito and Mr. Murakami,
who managed to find his dark sunglasses, set off for the mountain in the
distance. Sho was lying down, trying to get some sleep. Mizuki was
helping the other girl, Shizu, clean up. The old man, Onuma, was doing
some repairs on the ATV.
"Do you like Sho?" Shizu asked Mizuki. Mizuki didn't respond, but
turned a nice shade of red. "No offence, but you could go to a costume
party as a tomato" she said while laughing.
"No offence taken, but I don't like costume parties!" The started
to laugh together, momentarily forgetting about the situation they were in.
For a few moments, Mizuki figured this to be a regular family outing with
some friends. Then reality crashed in. 'Only regular people would do
this. Only people who didn't have to worry about getting kidnapped,
killed, or worse.'
The whole time this was going on, Sho did indeed get to sleep, but
it was sporatic. His mind was filled with images of his dad, Enzyme II.
In his mind's eye, he relived that final conflict. All the pain felt like
it was real. His head being torn apart, and his brain visected. He had
vauge impressions of what happened with the armour in control. One of
Enzyme II's tenticles percing his chest plate, lasering it off, and finally
shooting the mega-smasher. He remembered the burnt trees, and how he felt
when he woke up from being unconscious. 'Why do I still torture myself
over my father's death?' he asked himself. Then, the organisms on his back
started to feed him data from his surroundings. He shot straight up in his
make-shift bed.
        "Sho, what's wrong?" Mizuki asked.
        "I have a weird feeling, that's all. It's like I'm wearing the
armour, and I'm using it's sensors. I wonder what's going on." He started
to look around. Shizu and Onuma looked at each other, then at Sho, and
then at Mizuki. Mizuki shrugged. He found that when he walked close to a
particular area of the forest, the feeling intesified. 'A homing beacon!'
He followed the feeling to it's source, but as he got there, it was gone.
'It moved.' He closed his eyes and imagined a radar screen, with the blip
being the thing that the sensors are following. It when out, farther away
from the clearing, the camp, and started to circle around.
"Mizuki, what's Sho doing?" Tetsuro asked.
"I don't know, but he said something about feeling like he's inside
his armour and being fed data, or something."
"Data?" He knew that Sho didn't have any idea about what was going
on, and that scared him more than any zoanoid could. He ran to catch up to
him. "Sho, what's going on?" even though he knew what the answer would be.
"I don't know. This is new." He continued to walk around in
circles, always one step behind the blip. Suddenly it stopped moving.
"Tetsuro, I think that you'd better go back to the camp and get the
othersready for an attack."
        "How do you..."
"Just do it!" He thought he figured it out, but that couldn't
happen, could it? He watched as Tetsuro left to follow his instructions.
He focused his mind, and found that, while he had been distracted, he lost
the blip and didn't know where it was. 'Where is it?' Mizuki's scream his
question for him. 'At the camp!' He raced back to see a ghost.
        "Hello, boy" Guyver II said.
