I feel for you, man.  I have the exact same problem.  I can come up with
amazing ideas, even long-term plots occasionally, but can't put them down
on paper (or disk, as the case may be).  I even have a 10 novel series
bouncing around in my head that I created starting when I was 12!  The
problem is, I don't remember most of it, and much of it wasn't internally
consistant.  The best I've found I can do is not more than a page at a
time of writing, but that writing is _good_

Here's some hot tips that really help me:

Sit in front of your computer/typewriter/notepad and just start writing and
keep it up for a solid hour. Write anything that comes to mind. Doesn't
matter where it comes in the story, just get it down. If you have a vauge
idea what happens, write it down. That way, when you actually get to
filling out the "meat", you got some bones to hang it on.

Try it. It's worth a shot. I'd have never posted as much as I have if I
