A while ago, in a post I made regarding how unlikely it was that we
would be able to compile a list of fanfics posted to the ML that would
make it unnecessary for someone to ask "can you send me part 3 of
so-and-so"...

Gawds, what a run-on sentence.

Anyway, I lamented in a post that synopsis I sent to Mark never appeared
on the list, and how this was an indication of how projects like this
were doomed to failure.

It turns out I was mistaken.  My synopsis *did* appear; I just didn't
see it.  I did Mike a disservice and I apologize.

Also, it was not my intent to try and squelch his efforts to produce a
weekly list.  It is, in fact, admirable.  While he admits that he may or
may not be doing this a year from now, his hope is that if the project
is successful enough and people find it useful, someone else would be
willing to take it over in the event that Mark decides to move on.

We shall see, and I have my own opinions on how likely that is.  But it
is in no way meant to downplay Mark's efforts, and I hope that people
*will* support the Synopsis List project.  If it can be made
self-sustaining, it could be an invaluable tool for members of the FFML.
