The only comment that got my goat was the obviouse choice for a long and
happy marriage. I speak from personal experience that people who have a
rivalry tend to stay together indefinately. We respect each other and
tend to fight much less do to it. Like I said me and my wife fought and
argued with each other for over a year. Until by some fluke we actually
got to know each other and found out that we made a digustingly cute
couple. Now we never fight. We understand each other so well that even
when we disagree it's okay.
That's cool, but I'm guessing you were disagreeing with some of each other's
ideas instead of insulting each other like A&R do.
There's a big difference between "Paint the house red!" "No! Paint it blue!"
and "Ugly tomboy!" "Perverted asshole!"
I know what yout're saying, a rivalry in a marriage is kinda like . . . adds
more spice to the marriage to keep things from getting dull if controlled
with experty :)
But, that wasn't my only reason in saying that Akane don't work out for Ranma.
Akane's dreams are of being a good housewife (even though her domestic
skills aren't nothing to talk about, that's still her wish). She longs for
the stablity of being settled down in a more or less traditional married life.
Good point - Nabiki isn't known for cooking either but you don't see fights
over her cooking because she doesn't bother and doesn't care.
Ranma also longs for stability . . . periodically. But he DEFINITELY
prefers being a warrior and roaming the world for adventures than to simply
life out his life peacefully in one place. The married home life can be a
vacation spot for him, but his real dreams lies elsewhere.
This is easily solved.
Motor home. RV. Dojo on wheels.
If A&R ever learn to drive they're all set.
