Boredom.
hmmm. . .
Boredom. . .noun. . .weariness caused by dull, tiresome events.
At least that's the Earthling definition. However I find these stupid
little words to pale with the true concept of boredom. after all, these
words were based on human perspective. . which is quite narrow with such
a short life span.
So here I sit, or lay physically. I wait for the time when i have power
enough to wander again.
Which incidentally will be pretty soon. I've been down here for about 38
space trimests. I found an earth table that's says about 350 years.
Well when you get as bored as I do you do anything. Talk to trees or
rocks. Anything to pass time. Well maybe today I can find something
interesting passing by my prison.
Looks like I did. Youshou stands right in front of the stony seal as I
pass through it. He notices me with little regard.
Rage. Anger. Contempt. I feel alot of things for this contemptible twerp
who damned me to this boredom. He sat down on a rock. He sat down! In
front of me! How dare he patronise me! Sitting there as big as day with
the freedom I'd kill to have!
SO DAMN ANGRY!!!
. . . .
Well. . .I'm still angry.
"You're quiet today, Devil Caller." His voice is still calm and
controlled as it was when he fought with me and entrapped me. His face
seemed to age. .but that wouldn't make sense for a Juraian to age so
quickly, unless he hadn't been back to Jurai. . .
Hell even I don't know all the details about Juraians, Kagato never told
me much. He mostly told to do, not to think.
"I have little to say, twerp," my voice cracked, betraying the calm face
I had been working on. after floating about to and fro a moment it
became easy to see he wasn't going anywhere. "Why are you here,
Youshou?"
I wondered why it was so hard to muster my anger. . .
"It has been a long time, Ryoko. I wondered how you were faring."
WANDER HOW I WAS FARING!?!?! I'LL TELL YOU HOW I'M FARING YOU UPPITY
LITTLE. . .!
"I've seen better."
"As have I. This world We came to is full of prejudice, politics and
oppression. Maybe you are luckier than I to be able to rest here away
from it."
Rest? I wouldn't call it resting, you moron. I'm a prisoner. Trapped.
Bound. "What do I care about your petty little problems?"
"You shouldn't."
It was all I could do to keep my jaw from dropping.
"What?"
"You should have any feelings for anything that happens anywhere. That
is what a pirate does. Feels nothing."
His words were so strange and tired. . .I couldn't help but to levitate
down to his level. . .on the other side of the cave of course.
"Of course there is little difference between that and being an
automaton."
"What? What did you say?"
"Nothing but a mindless puppet to follow a superiors orders. . .Even
this planet had such barbarisms."
What did he know about Kagato? How could he possibly . . ?
"What makes you think the 2 are so much alike, Huh? where'd you draw up
that stupid idea?"
He seemed to become quiet for a moment, like he was drawing back within
himself. "Perhaps, but why do you say they are different?"
I stuttered, my tongue failing me. After a bit of thought I organised
it. "I do exactly what I want where I want when I want. I'm not Kagato's
slave!!"
"Who is Kagato?"
. . .Who is Kagato? Well then who the hell was he talking about?
