So to all those writers using Cologne as a evil character
without
stating that it is OFC, I would like to ask WHY do they do what they do
with
Cologne.

<shrug> I dunno. 'Cause we can? She's the main bad guy in my Hearts
of Ice fic because it was convenient for me, and the plot, to have her
be such. And I know dang well that she's not as malevolent as I depict
her in my fic.

In my Here We Go Again fic, I wanted her GONE. A recurring evil villian
was more useful to me than her constant manipulations, but I at least gave
her a reason for a change of character: Being completely
disgraced/dishonored by cowering in front of a man.

If you want a deeper answer than than, though, I would probably guess
that, in spite of her relatively malice-free nature in the manga, her
continuing insistence that Ranma marry Shampoo in spite of his own
wishes is inherently disturbing, to me at least. And it's easy for
fanfic authors to magnify that aspect of her personality into something
much darker.

Another reason I hear from people alot:

"She's supposed to be a great wise woman, yet doesn't care that what she's
doing is wrong. She HAS to realize it's wrong for both Ranma and Shampoo,
yet she doesn't care. "Good of the tribe" yeah, right."
