This isn't meant as a flame, meerly as stating my opinion on someone's
opinion on a service I write. I am calm as I write, and not all that
angry. But I am in a hurry, so try to forgive my bluntness.

Well.. you know, Mark Doherty has this REALLY nifty WEELY SYNOPSYS
thing, and well.. if EVERYONE were to use it, there would be a
growing list of Fanfics, Genre, Type, Author, and short commentaries.

I don't know if its in there, but perhaps this should be in the FAQ
for the list. Make it SEEM to be required...

Just MY opinion, I could be wrong.

No offense meant, but if this is an digusied attempt to review fanfics by
someone, then I
wouldn't even bother looking at it, since I make a point of not reading
fanfic reviews,
especially those written by people who think they have a "right" to inflict
their opinions
on everyone.

even bother looking at it

Why does anyone bother saying 'no offense meant'. It's another phrase like
'this wont hurt a bit', people say it when their about to do exactly what
they say they don't mean. Quite frankly, you have made the same annoying
mistake that so many others on this list seem to make all the time,
like with that Dave Barry thing: you made an assumption.

You assumed wrong.

Right then, I have 10 minutes to get this done, I'm going off to check
out the local anime club for the first time, and it's far more important
then this.

The Weekly Synopses List is not a collection of fanfic reviews, and they
are NOT done by me. I just compile the summaries of the fics that authors
send me. And that's what they are, SUMMARIES by the AUTHORS.

Its intent is to allow readers to see what a story is about, so that they
have more than a story title/author name/series tag to go by. Also,
it is there to give authors a better chance to have their stories
read instead of thrown in an Unread folder for 6 months. Furthermore,
it is there to alleviate spam, by having lists of contact email addy and
http sites. There are a few more reasons behind it, but this is taking
time to write, time better spent on useful things.

By the way, if I choose to review a fanfic, it IS my right, as
a reader, not an author. C&C is precious, and a review is a C&C.
You don't read them, fine. Others do.

That is my official response to this. BTW, everyone, the List will be
out tonight, I've been out all weekend. It's a small one, won't take
long to do.

Well, it's obvious to me, with all the confused letters I receive, that
it's time to write a Synopses FAQ, to be sent to the FFML about once
every two months. I'll get onto it next weekend.
