What if Star Trek had been an anime?
The idea came as an idle thought and I thought I'd get some ideas off of
it. If it has been written, tell me. If this is inappropriate, tell me.
I think it would be a lot darker grimmer and more "realistic"
I somehow picture it as sort of a Macross type program with the sort of
character interaction (although deeper I think than that)
The captain of course would probably be a lot younger.....
or he would be Captian Harlock (I'm not entirely kidding about this.)
I think a lot of T.V. shows would have een more interesting as anime
...of course a lot of T.V. shows would be better with plot, character and
solid writing.
The Avengers would rock.
I think Dark skies would have worked nicely as would X-files (as long as
we never saw any aliens.)
The method and style of some anime could not do without television (live
action) shows as well as sources of inspiration.....
Take Neon Genisis,
look ant anything ITC produced from Space 1999 to The Prisoner and throw
in Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet (which are not really "live" action)
and you will see some similarities of design....
What about Max Headroom? normal anime with computer generated Max...naw
he'd want to become an idol singer and kill them all. :)
In Shadow all things are possible
fix your mind on your desire and walk
