I think that should read "actual laser unit". I mean they couldn't
possibly know it was an ice laser at the moment, or wouldn't reveal it
if they did, right?

and as for knowing what the heck it was... well... hey,
there's a little leak here or there, rumors are spread,
word gets around, and next thing you know it's being
whispered in the industry circles.

and JUST 20mil for the the device? When they're offering 80mil for the
data. That's a little cheap isn't it? 

the device is nice, but look at it this way:

give a gun to a knight in the medievel ages.
Hey, he'll squeeze off six shots, but after that
it's useless.

Now, explain to him how to make more guns
and the ammunition with it, and it becomes
something else entirely.

kind of an extreme example, but there it is.

I suppose I should balance out the prices anyways,
though.  Wonder what the going rate is on comparable
items in the military nowadays...
