To Josh Green:
I know what your're trying to say, but both Mousse and Tsubasa are OBSESSIVE
people who wouldn't stop their pursuit/ bothering of Shampoo and Ukyou.  The
later two fell NO romantic love toward them, and had TOLD THEM SO.  The
girls are DESPERSATE to get them to stop, to no avail.  The guys FORCE them
to became violent.

But Akane, as we are let to believe, feels romatic attraction to Ranma.  She
denies her feelings, YET INTERFERES WHEN THE OTHERS WANT RANMA, BY HITTTING
HIM due to her LACK OF REASONING SKILLS.  I wouldn't exactly call her b****
or sadistic, but she has A LOT  to answer for for the way she treated Ranma.
Just because she is a girl doesn't mean that she could bully Ranma around.
That's why I always think that either Ukyou or Shampoo are better fiancees
than her, just that Ranma 1/2 is told from Akane's perspective and people
became bias toward her.  Besides, had Ukyou or Shampoo show KINDNESS (Ukyou
actually did . . . as a boy)  to Ranma BEFORE Akane did so in manga 1, I
have no doubt that Akane wouldn't stand a chance in having Ranma despite
what the fathers think.

Her reasons are often invalid, because she jumps to conclusions, but she's
not sadistic.  I like Shampoo and Ukyou, but if you start talking about
Akane's treatment of Ranma, what about how Shampoo's treats Mousse and how
Ukyou's treats Tsubasa?

Face it, most of the characters in Ranma 1/2 have violent personalities.
Each of them just has different triggers.
