Heck, you don't even need the mass driver. Just teleport it to the
right height and let it fall on your target. SQUASH!!!

But then you need to drop it from high enough to achieve the right
velocity.. and the damn thing might zig when it should have zagged and
you waste a perfectly good anvil.. 

It all depends on the required 'terminal' velocity of the anvil...
