Hi,

I was reading my E-Mail this morning when I received a message from 
someone asking me about what I personally think about the 
relationship I set up between Usagi and Ranma.

I basically told him I was not really sure about it, one way or the 
other.

Now, I pass this question onto you.  What do YOU of the FFML think 
would happen if the two of them continued their relationship when or 
if they learn about their past?

In fact, I'm making a challenge for you authors to write what you 
think it would be like if it did continue.

Okay, I'm done rambling, on to chapter 19 of TRIO.

				    TRIO:
			   WHISPERS OF THE PAST!
				   Part 1:
			   THE TRIO IS NOW A DUO!

	A dream...

	It was happening again.

	Sailor Moon was powering up her scepter, preparing to hit the woman 
named Warp.  This time however, Sailor Mercury knew what was going to 
happen to her friend...

	... and there was nothing she could do about it.

	She tried to run but her legs were like lead weights.  She tried to 
scream but no breath escaped her lungs.

	As the three energy portals came out of Warps body, time slowed to a 
crawl and as the one hit Sailor Moon, it slowed even more.  Sailor 
Mercury was able to see the energy cover her friends form and when it 
had devoured her completely, Sailor Mercury heard an agonizing scream.
  One that matched the one that finally escaped her own mouth.

	As usual, this was when she would wake up.

	Tokyo International Airport...

	Ami's head snapped up from its slumped position and the young blue 
haired girl blinked rapidly.  "Just a dream," she thought to herself, 
"Just that same crazy nightmare I've been having ever since..." she 
couldn't bring herself to finish the thought.

	"Excuse me," a man besides her, who was looking at her and a manilla 
folder at the same time, "are you Ami Mizuno?"

	Ami looked up at the man who stood over her.  A man in his early 
twenties, with a long brown pony tail and glasses over his eyes.  
"Yes," she replied, "and you are..."

	"I'm Doctor Tofu.  You were told to expect me."

	Ami stood up and the two shook hands as Ami thought back on why she 
was here.

	Her teacher had given a special assignment to the class and the one 
who did the best would go on a trip to a medical show in New York, as 
an assistant to Doctor Tofu, who would be demonstrating Acupuncture 
and other alternative medicines.  Considering how, even after several 
months had passed, all of the Senshi (except for Pluto, who had 
mysteriously vanished) were still in mourning, Ami thought that 
something like this might cheer her up.  Since, out of all the Senshi,
 she had known Usagi the longest, she knew Usagi would not have 
wanted her to miss an opertunity like that.

	So she had put her best effort behind it and had won the opportunity.
  "Ready?" Dr. Tofu asked, snapping her back to the present.

	Ami looked around and noticed that the plane was boarding.  "Huh?  
Oh, yes.  I'm ready."

	Dr. Tofu noticed the far away look in his assistants eyes and he 
asked, "Are you okay?  You seem distracted."

	"It's... it's nothing, really.  It's just..." Ami felt herself 
breaking down, "I just lost a very good friend not too long ago.  She.
.. died in an accident."

	"I'm sorry," Dr. Tofu said genuinely, "Are you sure you're up to 
this... ummm, what do you prefer to be addressed as?"

	"Ami is fine, and yes, I'm up to it.  Let's go."

	In New York, several days later...

	"WHAT?!!" Usagi cried out.

	Ranma, despite his somber announcement, had to grin.  Somehow, he 
had expected that reaction.  He reiterated, "I said, that for now at 
least, you are going to have to survive with out me in the Trio."

	After a long pause, Usagi finally regained her voice and asked, "But.
.. but... why?"

	The two of them were sitting on the couch in the living room and 
Ranma sighed as he twiddled his thumbs and explained, "It's because I 
can't shake what happened to me with Woe Bringer."

	"I thought we worked that out?"

	"Don't get me wrong, I'm a lot better then I was at first.  Still, 
every time I've thought about getting back into action as Yin Yang... 
I get an image of Woe Bringer in my head and I just... freeze.  I'd 
be more of a hindrance then a help.  So, for the good of the team," 
he slipped off his ring and handed it to Usagi, "I'm benching myself 
until I can regain my control."

	Usagi looked at the ring in her right hand and she nodded in sad 
acceptance.  She said, "I... guess I understand."

	She edged closer to Ranma and she snuggled up against him.  Ranma 
wrapped his arms around her and the two of them just sat there, 
resting in each others warmth.  Usagi looked up at Ranma and asked, 
"Have you told Gohan yet?"

	Ranma replied, "Yep.  He took it pretty well.  I think he said..."

	"I said, 'If you need to get your act together, I understand but you 
had BETTER do so QUICKLY'."

	Ranma and Usagi jumped away from each other in surprise and Gohan, 
who had been behind the couch and had not seen the embrace, thought, 
"I wonder what those two are so embarased about?"

	He shook out his head and said, "Sorry if I startled you but I just 
came across something you might find interesting Usagi."

	"What's that?" the other two asked.

	Gohan tossed a copy of "The Daily Herald" to Ranma and he caught it 
in mid air.  He and Usagi, who was looking over his shoulder, 
observed the headline artical.  It was about them, specifically, it 
read, "THE NEW 'KIDS' ON THE BLOCK!"

	The artical went into detail, describing when they had first shown 
up, some of the highlights of what they had done and some slightly 
editorial remarks on what people thought of them.  What caught their 
attention however, was the lines that read...

	<A point of interest was brought up by several Japanese tourists.  
That being that the female member of the "Trio", named Sailor Moon, 
is also know to have been part of a band of Japanese super heros 
named "The Sailor Senshi".>

	The artical went on to ramble about possible reasons Sailor Moon and 
the Sailor Senshi might have parted ways but Usagi was looking at the 
two photos to the left of the artical.  The top one was an artist 
rendition of the Trio and the bottom was a rendition of the Sailor 
Senshi.  "What do you think," Ranma asked, "does it help you remember 
anything?"

	"No," Usagi said slowly, "I don't think so.  I wonder though, if 
these other 'Sailor Senshi' are out there, are they looking for me?"

	At Eclipse Tower....

	Warp had butterflies in her stomach.  It wasn't because she was in 
the middle of the throne room, the Inner Four surrounding her.  She 
had seen them before.  It wasn't because of the numerous wires and 
cables that were attached to her and that connected her to the 
Time/Space Device.  No, it was because, after all her years of 
faithful service, she was finally going to see Eclipse Lord.  Almost 
no one, besides the Inner Four, had been blessed with the honor that 
was about to be bestowed apon her now.

	Blade Bot made some final checks of the equipment and said, "Okay, 
we're ready to rock."

	A dark presence filled the room and Eclipse Lord materialized at the 
far end of the room.  His throne the only bright thing in the dark 
room.  Warp, who had kneeled when the others had, looked up and 
gasped at the sight before her.  She thought, "My god!  He's 
incredible.  I can feel the power radiating off him from here..." she 
then realized that he had said something to her and so she asked, 
"Pardon, my master?"

	Eclipse Lord sighed.  He HATED repeating himself.  "I said, now is 
the time.  Due to your unique abilities, you are the only one capable 
of working the Time/Space Device.  Now, show us what it can do."

	Warp replied, "Yes master," before she began to concentrate.

	She did what she normally did when she teleported.  She tried to 
feel the area in her mind and then pictured her being there.  This 
time however, she tried to imagine that it was a place back in time.  
She raised her head as she heard Samaron mutter, "By the Gods!!!"

	Warp looked up at where the others were looking and gasped as she 
saw the image that had been in her head was now floating in the room, 
large enough to be seen by all.  Blade Bot stepped forward and when 
he reached the image, he walked right through it.  "Hmmm," Blade Bot 
said, "it seems that we can only observe the past and not go to it."

	Eclipse Lord replied, "Hmph.  Disappointing."

	Warp said, "Wait a minute master.  I think I may be able to pull 
things from the past to here though."

	This got the leader of the Eclipse Syndicates attention.  "Then do 
so," he commanded.

	Warp nodded and thought, "What should I try to bring?  It has to be 
something powerful... something primal... something worthy of being 
in the glorious presence of my master."

	Unfortunately, Warps mind wandered and so the image changed to one 
of a primitive forest and stalking out of the woods came a mighty 
Tyrannosaurus Rex.  The image suddenly became the glaring yellow of a 
portal and with a savage roar, the T-Rex stomped into the room.  
"HELLO," Blade Bot yelped in surprise as he leaped back from the 
giant foot that crashed down where he had stood a moment before.

	Warp looked up in amazement and stuttered, "I... I didn't mean to...
"

	Samaron stood in front of her and said, "Young lady, I suggest you 
stand back."

	When Warp complied, Samaron faced the raging dinosaur and said with 
a grin, "Now here is a worthy challenge."

	He leaped up into the air and with several quick slashes, cut deep 
into the face of the Tyrannosaurus.  The creature howled and reared 
back its head as Samaron landed on his feet and then leapt backwards, 
away from the giant foot that had been headed straight for him.  
Lujane then stepped forward and pulled out a small laser blaster.  
She fired it at the chest of the monster and it cut deep into its 
midsection.  Seer then took his turn and pointed his hands at the T-
Rex as he yelled, "Rings of Saturn!  Bind this creature fast!"

	Several gold rings appeared around the T-Rex and held it still.  Its 
arms were pinned to its side.  Blade Bot jumped into the air and 
expanded all his blades.  He headed towards the dino and as he 
slashed downwards with all his might he growled, "Technology one....
"

	SCLUTCH!!!!

	"... Jurasic Park zero," he finished as he landed on his feet.

	"BLADE BOT!!!!" Eclipse Lord roared.

	The robot looked around to see that his attack that had finished the 
T-Rex had made a VERY big mess.  "Oops," he said as he did what could 
have been a nervous grin if he had a mouth to express it with, "I 
guess I got carried away."

	The next day....

	Ami walked down the street as she toured the city.  The medical show 
wasn't for another two days and Dr. Tofu had given her permission to 
go see the sights of the city.  So, now she was somewhere in the city,
 lost.  The tour book she had didn't help her one bit.  She read from 
the book and thought, "It says that I should be there!  Aww, phooey!  
I think this is a factory flawed book!  How the heck am I supposed to 
get back to the hotel?!"

	She saw a antique shop nearby and figured she might be able to get 
directions from the owner or at least, she could buy a trinket for a 
keep sake.  She walked in and observed the man standing behind the 
counter look up and leap to his feet as he said, "Oh!  Come in miss.  
Welcome.  Feel free to look around."

	Ami began to when suddenly, she was bumped into by someone cleaning 
the shelves.  She turned to face the offending person and was hit 
full in the face by a feather duster.  "Oh no," the person said as 
she removed the duster from her face, "I'm sorry."

	"It's okay," Ami replied as she rubbed her nose, "it was an acc..." 
Ami's voice trailed off when she got a good look at the person in 
front of her.

	Usagi got nervous as the blue haired woman stopped talking suddenly 
and just stared at her.  "What's with her?" Usagi thought, "You'd 
think she'd seen a ghost

	Ami (who thought she WAS seeing a ghost) licked her lips nervously 
and questioned slowly, "Usagi?  Is... is that... you?"

	Usagi went wide eyed and replied, "That's me!  How do you know my 
name???"

	The girls eyes suddenly rolled back and she passed out into Usagi's 
arms.
