My two cents on Akane's powerboosts is this: She's missing the point of
martial arts. The super soba made Akane super-strong, but any dumb idiot
can be strong (some say that it's an inverse function). When Ranma went up
against Akane at the badmiddon (sp) tournament, he won hands down, while
Akane was being a sore loser.

With the Dogi, Akane got a powerboost and a skill boost, but only while
she's wearing the suit. It's not her skill that's doing it, it's the
Dogi's. Sure, she might be able to beat Ranma into next year, but she
didn't get there by training her body and mind; she put on a suit. In other
words, Akane was cheating.
