as usual the reviews are from the list or raac or sailor Moon romance...
no particuliar order and some are old.
I just finished Trenchcoat mask 1-4 yesterday and although it was
reasonably well written the style seemed slightly out of place for Sailor
Moon....I wouldn't mind seeing the same author doing a work of SteamPunk
aniime or perhaps a anime-esque space opera. The thing which stayed in my
mind the most about this work was the Tera-centric standpoint of the work
(understandible due to who the main character was) and the K00L (sorry)
fact that according to her bio Rei is afraid of T.V.!!!
Tenchi:Heart of the Matter....
Well, didn't see that coming...it might have been a better idea perhaps
if he had died...that could have led down the path to some strange
nastyness..I don't think Washu was out of character... Well sort-of for
the T.V series but not really for the O.V.A.s
Um...what else....
Sailor Moon :Teenage Wasteland
Ouch...ick.....to many breaking bones...
If you want to see your favorite sailors die then this is the one for
you...
Mother by Jeff Rutsch...
I really wish I could come apon one of Jeff's stories that I could
simply say "that sucks" about but I can't....
I liked it...and Akane feeling the blame for what happened...I think the
rainbow picture did it for me but I could be wrong.
A Different Demon a VPM story......
It read not like a self-insertion but more like a n eye-witness
account....it was just a little to ...hmmm...easy and ended quickly....not
enough spookyness for me.
Sailor Moon B:Love Among Enemies
I've gotta say this was alright and I want to see what happens to
Mars....will she be corrupted... well part of me hopes so (naughty grin) I
liked the "locker room" scene as it captured some basic fears I think are
part of dating a General of the Dark Kingdom and Holly Cole's "Boys Talk"
One thing did drive me batty...Although using the original spellings and
name placements sometimes it seemed that the last name did indeed become
the first for Rei...
Sailor Moon Dark Jewel...
(From Marie Kellys web site)
To be honest I actually liked the earlier drafts better....I'm not sure
why but there seems to be some of the earlier freshnesss missing...or
something....I still like E-vil Naru.

The observation part
Something I've notiiced lately is a lot more lurkers become contributors
when they are faced with a 1 hour deadline.
Now I could be wrong on this assumption but perhaps the idea of a
deadline (real or imagined) actually gets people to put their proverbial
noses to their QWERTY grindstones....especially if this is only for an
hour.
It actually seems to me that if you want to write but "don't have the
time" somehow an hour gives you that time to write that fragment or short
story ....
SO...
I guess what I'm saying is It's good to see more people feeling good
about contributing to the list and perhaps it might be a good idea for
those who have responded to the above to set a 1 hour deadline on whatever
they have decided to write...then of course if it seems to be going
somewhere and you wish to continue...another hour and another....not the
same day, ore even the same week....I know myself the frustration of a
work not going where I want it to and deleted a 20 min chunk of writing
yesterday....It was good (I hope) but it just wasn't right for the
story...In retrospect I could have saved the fragment for something else
but ....naw.....
Heck I'm about 2 pages away from a Sailor Moon story which I started Jan
1st and have not looked at it in months....whoops...

I met a Lady in the Meads,
Full beautiful, a faery's child,
Her hair was long, her foot was light
And her eyes were wild.
