Bzzzzt. Your teacher was wrong. Lines do *not* curve, and a line from
the north pole to the south pole would travel via the center of the
earth.

Slayer, you're using a viewpoint external to the particular space/time
continium
in which your spacially curved plane exists, therefore your view will not
match
with that of an inhabitant of that designated universal structure. The
beings who
are living within that universe will agree with WW's viewpoint, since they
are an
integral part of their particular space/time matrix and thus will see its'
structure
accordingly. From their viewpoint a line will be straight and not curved.
