always wondered how well an Evangelion would do against a Macross mecha.

the evangelion mecha would stand no chance against macross mecha :) the
veritech's fly too fast....carry medium range missles with a range of up to
50 miles....have lazers...gunpods..and are, at the very least, as agile and
quick as the EVA's. The heavy artillery mecha like the MAC II or the spartan
or the excalabur or the gladiator are tough too, but are slow land bound
opponents which,while packing conciderable firepower, really fall short when
it comes to hand to hand fighting. The gladiator is stronger than the
vertechs in battloid mode..but is not as agile. It makes up for that by
using a rather nasty chest cannon..head lazers....and 2 misslepods on the
side of the body. So to beat an EVA in hand to hand...stay with the
veritechs :)..if you wanna blow the shit outa em from a distance....use
something like the MAC II or the spartan (long range missiles that can
travle 2000 miles and fly at mach 3)  ^_^
